I want to thank you for your support in the 2004 Federal election. Leading the Saskatoon-Humboldt riding as the Federal Liberal candidate was a rewarding experience and I am privileged to have been your candidate.

We came within 1% of winning this seat. That was one of the closest margins in Canada. We organized a great team and can be proud of our work. I hold the bonds we made during that campaign very dear to my heart. I have made lifelong friends in Saskatoon-Humboldt and know better now why I wanted so much to be your voice in Ottawa.

As some of you may know, my father Arnold Wolfe passed away suddenly in early 2005. He is the person that taught me about the value of loyalty, initiative and self-reliance. He was my mentor and partner in business, and my model in community service. With his loss I must put my greatest passion, Politics, aside for now. The security of my employees and their families is now in my hands alone and I feel I owe them my direct attention in the immediate future.

Therefore, in April 2005, I informed the Association of my personal decision and a new candidate, Peter Stroh, was nominated in early May 2005. I would like to take this opportunity to offer my support and to wish Peter the very best in the Federal election.

Giving attention and support to the needs of my friends and neighbours in the Saskatoon-Humboldt area continues to be my public service goal even now. Thank you again for the encouragement, trust, and support you have shown my team and I during the last several years. It is a honourable and valued resource that will not be squandered.

Best regards,

Patrick Wolfe
